Carlton Jackson, better known by his stage name Lil Mook, is an independent artist from Alabama. Rising from the leveled plains of east Alabama and one of the South’s finest rappers in the game, Lil Mook raps about growing up in the ghetto, the temptations of easy money on the streets, and his hopes and dreams for a better life. Not to mention women, clubs, and his city. In 2008, Lil Mook founded his own independent record label, Bounce Back Entertainment where he has worked as a Singer/Songwriter, Studio Owner, Publisher, Recording Engineer, and record Producer. From 2006 to 2014, Lil Mook released a total of 20 Mixtapes. In 2011, he started a series titled “I Am Alabama” which has gained a strong following for the rapper. With all eyes watching, the release of his mixtape I Am Alabama 3 in 2013 found success, reassuring Lil Mook as the next artist on the rise. His successful mixtape series has elevated him to be next in line for the crown of the South. Some of Lil Mook’s Hit singles off I Am Alabama 3 include Freak, Connected , On Go, and Respect. In December of 2013, Lil Mook released “I Just Paid The Plug” mixtape with Trap-A-Holics. The mixtape received a standing ovation from the streets as well as online communities. Some features included Rich homie Quan, Doe B, Rich Boy and many more. Tracks like “When I Was 13″, “Juugin Dat Work” and “A Dream” are being heard in every street corner of the South.
