“The Other One” is a surprisingly exciting composition, which while staying true to Eric’s soulful roots, manages to push the boundaries of the listener’s expectations.
One of the best examples of this is “Lay it Down (The Afropeans Revisit)”, the second single to be taken from the album. It’s subtle hints of Electro, it’s anthemic chorus and of course, the sublime vocals of Mr Benét make “Lay it Down (The Afropeans Revisit)” undeniably beautiful and refreshing.
