Top 15 Hip Hop Artists of 2000’s

12. Jeezy: Top 15 Hip Hop Artists

Snowman Aka Jeezy, Aka Lil J, comes in at a strong number 12. Almost every one that I ask in the survey had Young Jeezy at a lower number. He is from Columbia, South Carolina however, move to Atlanta, Georgia to further his career. CTE World boss (Corporate Thugz Entertainment) started his career in 1998.

Furthermore, in 2001, as Lil J released Thuggin’ Under the Influence. After changing his name to Young Jeezy, P.Diddy signed the artist’s to Bad Boy South, with the group formed Boyz In the Hood. Jeezy has a great buzz on the street now. Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101, the album excelled his name a crossed the country. “Soul Survivor” was the number one single out of the time featuring another great breakout artist Akon. DJ Drama was a huge part of his success and pushing his music out to the mainstream.

Much as the country loved Lil Wayne and T.I., Jeezy was making connect across the south by linking up with other great Hip Hop artists. As a result, Snowman was releasing mix-tapes like albums and were making a fortune of them.
